    Hi all,

I'm picking up a D630c fairly soon and had a question about the palmrest with the fingerprint reader.

I don't think the one I'm going to buy has it, and I've seen parts sellers that carry the palmrest with reader built-in

Is there anything that would need to be done aside from installing the new palmrest and getting the software for the reader? Are there any compatibility issues between the different part numbers?

    Thanks in advance

EDIT: here is the palmrest part I was looking at: Link

This should be the correct part. I think there shouldn't be any major physical differences between D630 and D630c.
I had my palmrest swapped for the FP reader one in september, just needed to enable the TPM chip, install drivers for it and the FP reader, also Wave Security Suite to set it all up.

    Thanks guys,

Should my D630c have the TPM installed by default? Or will I need to get that as well?
