One of our employees has a D630 which does not work, I believe he spilled water on it. I'd like to open up the laptop to see if there is any moisture but better yet, to see if there is a color changing strip when it gets wet. Does anyone know if the D630 has this?

The D630 does not have a color changing strip that I know of, but even if all moisture has dried, you can almost always tell by finding traces the water left behind.
    Places to look:
    Bottom of keyboard
Under the large black stickers on the motherboard
Start at an edge, and move inwards looking for a water line.
(One of my duties where I work is screening laptops without accidental coverage for spills)
