So after having several months of difficulties with the screen of my D600 not functioning properly due to a motherboard issue (see thread http://forum.notebookreview.com/showthread.php?t=297093), it finally died.... Now it won't turn on.

Anyone got any possible reason why this may have happened? Anything I can do to fix the issue?

I have a C610 to hold me over for the next little while, but I think I'll just end up picking up something else in the near future.

Do you hear the laptop fans turn on though, even if nothing shows on the screen? If you do hear it turn on at least, then it might be the inverter for the monitor, which can break. See if you can take it to a repair center like Best Buy's Geek Squad.

Yeah... Nothing happens. I can hold down the power buttong as long as I like and not even a single LED lights up. Definitely no fan...
