hi guys i have a d600 and for some reason the back light keeps coming and going, i replaced the right hand hinge a while ago, but more often than not when i turn it on i can hardly see the screen, i know nothing has blown because every now and then it will work fine, any ideas?

Depending on how long you have had the notebook, it could be that the CCFL lamps inside your display are dying as it is common for the CCFL lamps in your LCD display to grow dimmer and dimmer over long periods of use. Replacing the right hand hinge will not help all that much.
