    Also, i'm only going to be using it for majourly light photo editing in Photoshop, ALOT of Office use (outlook 07 open all the time), iming, internet use. pretty much it. when i use it at school, i can just rdc.

    Which 64GB 1.8" ZIF SSD goes for $260? I hope it doesn't have jmicron/jmicronB controllers.

    just wondering if i was to stick with vista, and the original hdd, could i just use a sd card with readyboost to access the more used applications?

    Maybe a third option could work around the storage issues. There's a just-released cheap netbook. Faster gpu/HDD, slower cpu. Reviewed here.
