CPU question. Latitude D630

Hello Everyone,

I have a Latitude D630 and I was looking to find out about upgrading the CPU. Can anyone tell me what CPU could run in it? Thank you all in advance for the time.

Looks like your T7300 uses socket P, so some socket P Core2Duo will work, but at this point, i don't think it's really worth it. You could probably go for something like a T7800 or a T9300. I'd give this a read: http://forum.notebookreview.com/har...tel-mobile-processor-compatibility-guide.html

 

As Tijo has stated, any 800 FSB Core 2 Duo will work, best values are a T8300 (~35) and a T9300 (~60).

 

Most of the Socket P Merom's will work as well as Socket P Penryn's that have 800Mhz FSB.
