    why if the port already has power as john said it wont be long before someone comes along and does the work for us i was considering making one up myself i had a feeling the usb section in the esata port was live but wasnt sure if when esata was plugged in that the usb power an data lines shut down ...

    Get it added on the Dell Ideastorm website: ideastorm dot com

    Is the external DVD drive a fixed unit, or can it be removed from the caddy like you could the D series? An E-Module HDD could be slotted into the caddy if that's the case. Just need to find the Dell PN for the caddy and the E-Module HDD - these take 1.8" drives.
