Most HDTVs have a VGA input, so you can use the VGA out on your laptop. Otherwise, you'll have to use S-Video to connect to your tv. They have just S-Video cables or component video adapters to connect to your HDTV.

Thanks, also, how can I get audio? Do HDTV's have normal old 3.5 mm jacks?

Oh, and I can't find any VGA->RCA cables...

s-video doesn't carry audio, just use a 3.5mm audio cable.

Put a cable from your headphone out to your tv. You can get the 3.5mm to rca (red/white) in a single cable. This would be ideal to use for the sound.
