So i have the following setup:

    E6430
    E-Dock Advance
    U2711 + soundbar

U2711 connected via Display Port to E-Dock (I use the Digital Out as standard audio output)
Soundbar input connected to U2711 Stereo Audio Out
(works flawless up to this point)
my mp3 player is connected to the E-Dock Mic In and the Mic In configured as playback source

Generally this Setup works i can hear the audio output from the mp3 player and the windows sounds, but the Audio quality from the mp3 player is bad. I suppose it's because the input is configured as mic in (i have to level down the signal to 1/100). Can i switch it to line in mode? I didnt find a switch for this in the IDT Software... Older Software Versions/Dell Laptop supported this. When you connected a device to Mic In you could choose between Mic In and Line In.
