Is this a plug and play switch? I was looking at the two systems and it looks like they use the same chassis. I'm not a fan of the three button arrangement on my precision and would love two larger ones instead. Would a) changing the touchpad kill my warranty and b) is it possible?

    Thanks,

you would need to change the entire touchpad.

you can change the settings in the mouse settings for both the buttons on the right side to act as a left button click. takes about a week to get used to, then you wont even realise it anymore.

    maybe try that?

I don't mind changing the entire touchpad, i've just too accustomed to with pads w/o the middle button. But remapping the middle to a left click is a wonderful idea to try in the meantime, thanks.
