Cannot download Dell audio driver?

    For some reason I get the following message when I try to download the latest IDT audio driver off of Dell's sit:
    "the hardware detected is not supported by this software package, the install will be aborted".
    Its the correct IDT 9200 driver for my operating system/setup; what do you think is going wrong here?

    I would just go to the manufacturers site, but I am having "crackling and popping" sound-problems and I know its best to use Dells drivers.

    I have an e6400 with windows 7/64bit.

    have you installed the latest chipset drivers first ?

    I just checked and dells site does not have the latest version of my chipset driver.
    Intels "analyze" utility says that my driver is "valid" but it doesnt say its "up to date".
    That said, how do i find out which chipset I have?

    You should have an Intel series 4 mobile chipset.

    Latency seems to have improved a bit but still having dropouts...
