I have a close to 3 year old precison M90 still under warranty. The hinges are a bit loose, can they eb tightened ?

The looseness is two fold; first the screen wobbles before the hinges are "engaged". After the hinges get engaged, they are still a bit loose.

Can both the wobble and the hinge looseness be rectified ?

    Take a look at this - http://support.dell.com/support/edocs/systems/wsM90/en/sm/display.htm#wp1022270

Tighten the 4 screws in Step 7. This might help. Other than that, you would have to replace the actual hinges.

I also know on some dell models, the pin or whatever it is within the hinge sometimes can be tightened as well - take a close look, if you see something that resembles a flat head screw driver head then this is the case. In order to get to it though, you'll have to remove the LCD.
