I have a M4600 with an i7 2720QM processor and Quadro 2000M. I edit a lot of long videos and make a lot of ae templetes. I wanted to edit 4k videos and render my ae templates 60 fps at 1080p but the card falls short of my expectation. I was considering about MXM Quadro K2100M but I was confused by the Nvidia website as the specified the generation of the Intel processor these cards are meant for. Can i upgrade the MXM graphics card on M4600?

You can upgrade the graphics card but it doesn't always work. Sometimes the BIOS and your upgraded GPU don't get along well, and sometimes you have to manually tweak the drivers before the new GPU will work in Windows. If you can't find someone who has tried this particular upgrade before, the only thing I can suggest is make sure that the place you buy the GPU from has a decent return policy, and then try it and see what happens.

You can also look at the M6600 and see if you can find mention of anyone who has attempted an upgrade to K3100M/K4100M/K5100M, should be the same.
