My C610 has the Pentium III Tualatin 1.0 Ghz processor (Slot 1, Socket 370). I would like to upgrade it but want to make sure that it's possible.

I was planning on getting the PIII Tualatin 1.4 Ghz processor. Looks like it's also a Socket 370.

Can anyone confirm this is before I go ahead with the upgrade?

    Thanks.

What you are looking at are desktop processors which are not compatible with laptops. Since the Pentium 3M that you have will be 1GHz/733, I am pretty sure the highest you can upgrade is to the 1133/733, which you can get here: http://cgi.ebay.com/SL5CK-Intel-Pen...1298646QQcmdZViewItem?_trksid=p3286.m20.l1116

EDIT: The 1333 Pentium 3 M might actually work, they all have 133mhz FSBs. Will have to have someone else confirm this.
