So I am trying to record via Line In/Mic jack for the first time and am getting some very loud buzzing and distortion. Wondering if anyone else has tried recording anything with line input?

Wondering if this can be fixed or if it is just the crappy sound card...

Using the IDT drivers and have the Intel Matrix Driver installed.

A long shot, but try changing the setting in Andrea Noise Cancellation (in Control Panel).

Is this in the IDT control panel? Don't see any option like this. My IDT control panel just has just 2 options, one to show the tray icon and one for some sort of device sharing.... ?

Look in the normal Windows Control Panel. It should be a part of the IDT audio control, but isn't.
