Searching the forums, it seems that Precisions used to be available for purchase but were removed from the website some time ago. Has anyone tried to order one recently? Is it possible by phone or through a special website?

A bit baffled about your question, but you can order through the business section of Dell's website...thats where most people placed their orders.

Sorry I forgot to mention EPP in my paragraph, though it was in the subject. I wanted to purchase a Precision through EPP, not through the regular Dell website.

I chatted with a sales guy through the online chat program and he said it was not eligible, though not sure I'd rely on that. Doesn't make any sense to me, and may be the diff. between a Covet and a W700 or 8730w for me (I'm working at Oracle, which funnily enough has Employee Purchase Programs with all 3, and both the Lenovo & HP units do get the discount).

Dman, can you offer any insight here if you see the thread?

When I ordered the M4400, I called up Dell after I had configured the laptop online. I asked them about EPP and the rep said the Precisions are not covered (at least the M4400 isn't). However, I asked if I could get any other discounts and he took $100 off after presumably talking to someone.

In short, no EPP, but call and press the rep for discounts. :p
