Looking sporadically over the last 2 months for a M6800 in Dell's outlet store and did not find even one. Checked ebay today and there are 100+ M6800's for sale.

How do I find one in the outlet store?

Open a chat and ask the for it. Then ask for at least 20% discount.

Why don't you just buy it from eBay? Most of the biggest resellers have 100% or 99.5%+ ratings, and appear to source direct from the dell factory (manufacture refurbished).. loads of happy customers according to their feedback...

I am sure the ebay sellers mark up the prices.
Besides there is always some risk when buying on ebay.

That's what I tend to think. Hence my question to you. I do however think the eBay l landscape has somewhat changed since the early days. People run their businesses solely from eBay nowadays.

They probably mark them up a bit, or are seeking older models for slightly less (Dell seem to offer a range of new chips across models but once a chip had been improved your won't find the old models on their online store.. These are the units that make their way to resellers). EBay has stock though.. :) so you also pay a premium for that!
