Other than the GPU and the lid, "Precision" is nothing more than a name. it's the same exact chassis as the E6500.

What's this 3rd button I keep hearing about?

For purposes mentioned, the E6500 with P9500 and Intel X4500HD IGP and WXGA+ LED would be the better choice.

The combination of the T9400 and nVidia GPU and CCFL WUXGA would not offer any performance advantage and would have a significantly lower battery life of as much as 90 minutes less in addition to considerably higher temps.

Precision's touchpads have 3 buttons. Which is the use for the middle button?

some programs use the middle click button. however i dont use those programs so i just set the middle button to perform a normal left click.

so basically i have 2 left click buttons, one right click button. you can also set it to do nothing

I really need WUXGA screen. Nowadays, I work with a Precision M20 with 14" SXGA+ (1400x1050) screen and I need "more space". If I go for WXGA+ I'll have 150 height pixels fewer!!

I think on 1440x900 there just isn't enough space for everything.

Another question... there are differences on the weight for both machines?

    I've an e6500 with P8600, NVS 160M, WXGA+ that weight 2,76KG... I heard that M4400 can be more heavy that e6500...

Firefox opens up a link in a new tab if the middle button is clicked. I use it all the time.
