Bluray drive for Vostro 1500

I was wondering if its possible to change the current DVD drive in my Vostro 1500 to a Bluray drive. I know that there are external Bluray drives around but they seem to need an external power source. Has anyone put a Bluray drive in their Vostro or know if it is even possible?

The interface should be the same. But don't quote me that this will work.

 

i'd seen something similar already on ebay, just a same that its US one because i live in Europe so would have a problem with where i get the disc from. this is the one that i'd found earlier

If they're listing the drive for the Vostro 1500 or 1700, I'd say it's a very good chance that it'll work.
