bluetooth specific to XP or Vista?

sorry if this has been asked already, but I searched and didn't see anything...

still shopping, I've narrrowed it down to the Vostro 1500 or an XPS of some sort, and it looks like the options for Internal bluetooth are XP or Vista specific.

If I get a Vostro, I'm going to get the dual OS (XP and Vista)... I want to make sure the bluetooth works with BOTH OSs... and they have two different kinds of "wireless 355 bluetooth internal," one for XP, one for Vista

anyone know the scoop? do I need to select BOTH the XP and Vista version for it to function properly with both OSs? That just seems silly.

 

I ordered the vostro 1510 and got the xp Bluetooth, seems to be working fine on XP.....

you dont need to select both. my vostro 1400 came with the 355 module and vista. i am now using it with xp pro...

 

i bought my dell 1500 and i ordered the 355 for use with xp and i got the one for vista instead(it got sent back) it wouldnt even work a lick. so in my notebook yes, they use 2 different parts. the one for vista WOULD NOT work in xp home....least not on my laptop
