Hi folks, last year I got a Dell D630 laptop that came WITHOUT the internal bluetooth module.

This week I got an an ultra-small usb bluetooth dongle that works perfectly for me, except for the fact that the bluetooth blue colored led in the laptop case (the one in right side of the wi-fi led) is always off.

I was wondering if there's a way to make it turn on when I have the usb bluetooth dong plugged. I couldn't manage how to do it.

I already looked up in the Dell's QuickSet software if I could enable the bluetooth using the left-side slider used to turn on the wi-fi, but it turns out that the bluetooth option is disabled.

Does anyone have ever tried that?

    Any help will be appreciated.

    Thanks in advance!

Think of it this way: you save a little bit of power by not lighting up the LED. ;)

Thank you guys for the replies.

It's sad it's not possible, but I'll take swarmer's advice and look to the good side :p

    Thanks!

That Bluetooth symbol next to the WiFi on your laptop will only light up if you have a internal bluetooth module installed in your laptop.
