Hi, I have a Precision M6400, I was able to install almost everything within Windows XP x64, I have problems only with Bluetooth Card 410 and the Wireless WAN Card 5530.

With Bluetooth the drivers will load and Device Manager will be clean with no errors, but I will not be able to Turn On the Bluetooth Radio, so even though all drivers are properly loeaded I can not turn the radio on.

With WWAN during the installation of the drivers I will get an error, device manager will be clean with no errors but every time I will reboot the Notebook I will get an error that the WWAN drivers were not installed properly.

Please any idea how to solve this ?, thanks

I would like to find out as well. According to Dell, I believe neither is suppose to be compatible with XP64.

Dell does not allow you to configure an M6400 with XP64 downgrade and purchase the Bleutooth 410 or WWAN. Guessing this is because there is no driver available that functions with XP64.

Nothing you can do about it unless you can find a driver.

Only option at this point is Vista 64bit or no BT or WWAN

Did you install both the 370 and 410 drivers from the CD? The 410 drivers on the CD only install UWB support. In order to get bluetooth to work, I installed the 370 drivers from the CD.

Works fine for me in XP-64, but I primarily use keyboard and mouse via the BT connection. One very interesting note, once paired the BT devices (mice and keyboard) work even in BIOS (at least for me).

Hmmm... I do not recall doing anything special to get things working. I did do a fresh install of XP-64, but I doubt that had anything to do with it.

As I recall, I used the XP64 drivers found on the CD that shipped with my system. I installed the 410 BT and UWB drivers first. Found that I did not have any BT device listed in Device Manager and no unrecognized devices. I then installed the 370 drivers from the CD. Not sure if I rebooted or not, but device manager then contained the Dell 410 BT device. I think the radio is disabled by default (if I remember correctly). After turning it own, several other devices were added to support the various BT clients.

Do you see the 410 device listed under Bluetooth devices in the device manager?

We can compare driver versions (etc) if it is of any assistance.
