I might be a little late to the game here, but just got around to downloading it today.
Was wondering if anyone has noticed any improvements?

I am particularly interested in the effect it may/may not have on the fan.

There's no improvement in the fan operation that I could detect. A chipset / memory temperature still triggers the fast fan speed.

Well, the only issue that I can think of that could be maybe fixed with a BIOs update is better heat management (especially in regards to fan usage)? The audio stuttering was pretty much nixed already.

So there is a fan problem w/ E6400s? Is it just w/ Intel video or nvidia as well?

No, there just could be some optimization on the fan rules when it speeds up and stuff like that. There are actually no heat issues.

Oh.. thanks. My fan seems to be on most times... always bit noisy even at idle.. So wondering if it this is a common problem.

That is unusual. The fan should be almost inaudible when on slow speed. What hardware configuration do you have?

Our complaint about the fan rules is that a chipset / memory temperature of a relatively cool 50C is enought to make the fan go fast.
