Hi all, I just got my e6500 4 days ago and I notice that the center segment of the backlit keyboard is slightly bent out. According to the e6500 review in notebookreview, the reviewer also found such problem.

I don't konw if it a defect or it happens to all the e6500 laptop out there. Please me know. To me, it is very annoying because my other e6500 non-backlit keyboard just lay on to the laptop perfectly.

    Thank in advance.

My E6500 backlit keyboard does not seem to have any type of bend to it at all. Looks like it lays flat to me after inspecting it from numerous different angles.

Mine lays flat. No bend to it at all from what I can see.

When you said it is the frame problem, how can you tell so? I would like to take out the keyboard and inspect if my laptop does has the same problem. Anyway, I not intend to return my laptop again as this is the 2nd replacement.

    Thanks.

Once the keyboard was off I could see by visual inspection that the metal frame/bracket was pushing the keyboard up just left of center. The keyboard was not stiff enough to resist pressure from underneath. It was molding to the shape of the frame below it. As a result I returned it.
