I wanted to create a new thread instead of posting at the owner's lounge so that the prospective buyers can see the rock solid performance of the machine.

Anyways, I used Dell U3011 monitor and am able to run BF3 at HIGH-Ultra settings with no AA or MSAA on 2560x1600p screen. Keep in mind that the 1600p screen has nearly twice the number of pixels than the 1080p screen. Frames are extremely smooth.

This was achieved with the 60% overclock. The temperature is rock solid as well.. Happy gaming!

I didnt use fraps, but it was around 30-45 (MAX) depending on how much action. With intense blowing up smoke and destruction, about 25 was the lowest for split second. It actually played as good as Alienware M17x R2 with 5870M crossfire, and often even better. I think it is due to micro stuttering on the ATI card. I mean 60% oc basically means 4000M SLI due to not 100% full scaling.

I played on 2560x1600p. If you are picky about having high fps, I would recommend high setting. depending on the map, Ultra setting was "playable." High setting was fully playable for me for all maps pretty much. 30fps is playable for me.

5010m is much better card. I am not sure about its overclockability. 4000M with 60% oc is much faster than 5010m at stock. But I would imagine that 5010m will also give rock solid oc, since it is already downclocked 580m essentially. With max oc on 5010m, it should game as good as say loaded M17x R3.

Nope I dont unfortunately. The gpu really needs a dedicated fan and heatsink for that kind of OC.
