battery lifetime (M2400)

I will buy a M2400 soon, it's the first time I buy a laptop. My question is how does battery life change? Does it stay more or less like it is in the beginning or will the capacity slowly go down? If so, how long (some month or some years???) does a dell 6 cell battery keeps a acceptable capacity?

My Dell has kept it's charge for over 6 years now lol. Still can get around 2.5 hrs with my Inspiron 8200. I've heard good things about Dell's Precision batteries; however, real data is impossible to obtain as it hasn't been out for a year yet.

 

Nobody knows yet.

Hopefully longer than the battery in my XPS m140, that lasted for 18 months.

The E6400 and M2400 use the same battery, you can bet on getting more than a year out of it, other than that it's anyone's guess.

I get a good 4 hours on my 6 cell, but that is with Intel graphics, which isn't available with the m2400.
