I too am on the fence between the New XPS-15 and the M3800. I had been seriously been looking at the MacBook Pro Retina, however, these two models from Dell have me reconsidering my decision as they look like really nice and quality built machines.

While the M3800 may cost about $100 more than the XPS-15, one of the biggest incentives is you can order up to a 5 year service plan on the M3800, which is really a nice hedge against something going bad.

So how many of you guys plan to take advantage of the 5 year support/service?

I always do with my Precisions and Elitebooks, if you ever need it it is fantastic and is incredible compared to Apples consumer support. I also suspect the m3800 will actually be a bit better built than the xps series as even before when the business and consumer model looked the same there was still many differences in the end in cooling and durability
