I don't see many reviews on the Latitude 7285 2 in 1 tablet/laptop. Most reviews online talks about it's wireless charging abilities which I'm not interested in.

I'm looking at the device as a possible alternative to a surface pro and to replace my Latitude 7450.

How is the performance and battery life in daily use (mixed use web surfing, documents, watching videos etc).

How well does it work with a dock (TB16 maybe?) to drive 3 external monitors at 1920x1200/1080 resolutions?.

The online config shows option to add a 2nd SSD. Are there two mPCIe slots to hold two SSD's? If so, are they the standard m.2 2280 NVMe type ssd/slot or is it some non-standard slot (meaning hard to buy a 2nd SSD if not directly from Dell for their over inflated prices)?

Also is the memory soldered on the motherboard meaning its not user upgrade-able or is there a dimm slot ?

Thanks for any information you guys can provide!

My starting place if considering a Dell notebook is to read the user manual so read this for some of the answers such as:
    • Two DisplayPorts over USB Type-C
    • 34 Whr battery
    • PCIe SSD (notebookcheck says 2230 size -it's unclear if an SATA SSD will also work in the slot).
    • The graphic on page 40 marks the WWAN card slot as "SSD/WWAN" so it appears possible to put a second SSD in the WWAN slot.
    • The RAM will be soldered - there's no space for a RAM slot which adds to the thickness. Finding high capacity small SSDs in the retail chain can be difficult.
This notebook has many hardware similarities with my Latitude 7370. This has an average power drain of 5W to 6W at about 40% display brightness to give around 5 hours on battery but can be stretched to 6 hours under very light usage.

Thanks John. Seems 2230 is not a common size so might not be able to find a 2nd SSD unless purchased directly from Dell.
