I'm just curious. It is able to list a large number of Dell parts and is constantly updated with new stuff every month. However, it's registration seem a bit odd. What would they want our date of birth for? Doesn't make sense.

The owner seems to be based in Romania. Nothing against that but queries sent to the website doesn't get answered either.

Any tried buying stuff from there? A search on Google proved fruitless.

Very skeptical to do business with some place that doesn't disclose their physical location. I've been burned in the past.

Their "contact us" page is just a web form. The other three links on the right (shipping and returns, privacy, terms of use) are sloppily incomplete. They don't have any sort of "about us" or "information" page.

They're not giving any reason to believe that this is a real business. It's using a standard eCommerce package and it could have just been loaded up with a database of Dell parts that they found somewhere. I say, stay away.

I agree with you as well. It is setting off a lot of alarm bells for me.

No physical address is usually a dead giveaway. Heck, even with a physical address, a google search of the place might bring some doubts. If you want Dell parts, Dell is a pretty good place to order from or eBay, at elast you have some form of protection from there.

I bought a M6800 from a seller from eBay (Australia).that looked like a Dell Reseller of sorts as he had lots of Dell servers and stuff on sale. His nick there was ms.system.s.

Before purchasing the system, it was agreed with the seller that the system will be transferred to my name with Dell after I bought it. The system then was still under warranty.

I purchased the M6800 and it arrived looking all new and was still in its original box unopened and with protective plastic film still on the system. So as per the agreement, I began asking the seller to transfer it to my name with Dell. That was more than a year ago. I have been chasing the seller ever since with no success.

Without the transfer of ownership, Dell parts is refusing to sell me anything (althought I did managed to get a HSF assembly for my GTX980m upgrade but that's another story). Any attempts to transfer the ownership from my end just ended up in failure and ridicule from Dell.

There's nothing wrong with the system though. It works flawlessly. I just want to upgrade it with a fingerprint reader and wired/wireless smart card reader which I had in my old M6400 and M6500. So if Dell will not entertain my request, I need to go through a third party to get it.

I must say though, that M6800 part I am after is still not available on eBay.
