    Please help.

I bought a media base on eBay and it does not have the optical drive. I bought it this way in hope I could use my regular "D" bay optical drive. However it does not fit and the plug is all wrong. So...

I really would like to get a media drive for it, however I do not have a clue what model number or off what Dell machine the drive is from.

Would somebody having a media base please tell me what is the correct media drive? I am sure the optical drive is possibly available on eBay, just need to know what to buy.

I would really appreciate any help...

    thanks!

I had one up until a few days ago, so don't quote me since I shipped it out already.

You need to find a 9.5mm optical drive. If you could post a picture of the connector internal to the base we could probably tell you if you need a 9.5mm IDE or 9.5mm SATA drive.

    I think you'd need a 9.5mm IDE drive though.
