To save some cash, Im getting my E6400 configured with just 2GB in one slot and buying an extra 2GB module aftermarket.
In the past Ive had trouble with compatability issues between two different RAM modules.
Please recommend a specific module and source that has proven to work without problems on the E6400. thanks

I'm using two aftermarket 2GB modules.

One is OCZ and one is unbranded. The latter was about half the cost and has good timings. Both work fine in my E6400, separately or together.

Make sure your RAM works 100% though. If you buy off-brands, sometimes they'll come broken or will crash your computer, etc. That's the chance you take, I've had that happen to me both times I ordered off-brands haha.

I can't remember if I did a specific memory test when I got it but it's been running OK since last December. There could be a bad bit sitting in the part that 32 bit Windows can't use.

Luckily both times I bought it, I got replacements easily (Go newegg!). I was using Vista Business x64 bit though. And the first time, was on my desktop awhile ago.
