    hi,

    there's currently deal on Vostro 3360 (i3 3227U,320GB 7200rpm, 4GB, iGPU)

    for around £275/$415 including shipping.

I'm thinking of getting this for my sister (simple facebook/youtube/office machine) but read reviews and my concerns are the fan noise, battery life and keyboard.

should I be worried and just not bother with it or is it ok for that price? She currently has 15.6" Acer with C2D, to put it in perspective.

    thanks :)

    Here's a review for the 3360: Review Dell Vostro 3360 Notebook - NotebookCheck.net Reviews
For comparison here's the notebook in your sig: Review Acer Aspire 4820TG Timeline X Notebook - NotebookCheck.net Reviews

For $415 you really can't expect too much in terms of noise, battery, and keyboard. You really do get what you pay for.

Ultimately though the only way to find out is to purchase it and try it out. If you don't like it you can return it. At least in the US Dell Business has a great return policy that makes this relatively risk-free.
