    its pretty minor but its annoying, and i think its worse when its on lower brightness, but not a big deal overall. i will report it. i doubt a lot of people would even notice it if it was a widespread thing though.

    the webcam thing is a bit more annoying though; id like it to not flicker regardless. i bet its a powersaving type thing.

    edit: well, what do you know...its a feature. go to graphics properties-->display settings--->power settings and you can change it.

    the webcam still flickers, however. not on the highest or lowest backlights, but its the same with battery power or ac power. however, if im skyping or send the video, its perfectly fine on other computers. so it looks weird on mine but fine on the computer that sees me/the video is on.

    What lighting are you using? There's a small possibility that the webcam is picking up a flicker from fluorescent lighting. Try using natural light.

    anyone else wanna chime in on their backlit keyboards having uneven lighting?

    Yes, they are not perfectly fully evenly backlit. But if all the lit keys are more or less lit well enough for you to see them as backlit, then consider that the norm. If a key or section stands out from the rest as being defectly backlit, then call Dell.
