I ordered an E6500 about a week ago since that time ( I hate long waits on computers b/c of this) and it has a ship date of 10/13.
So as I've been waiting I got to thinking should I have got the 9 cell battery in stead of the 6 cell and should I have gotten the XP OS with the vista upgrade instead of just Vista business.
Thoughts? Both can be changed w/o affecting the ship date.

My School is a Microsoft school (DePaul) and I'm switching careers to IT (not that it matter).

I ran into the same problem (I ordered the WiFi 5100 and after receipt of my M4400, wanted the WiFi 5300).

Call your salesperson and see what they can do. Since it's battery and software, you'll probably have to cancel your order and re-order. I recommend doing it. You want to be HAPPY with your purchase. If that requires waiting another couple weeks, so be it.
