I'm going to try this ASAP, with little hope of course, but will return 3DM06 results on stock clocks compared to Dells drivers. This is DOXs driver, so there might be some hope after all.

 

This driver is definitely...working.

L4D used to jump between 30 and 60 (with 40s for average), this thing keeps it at a CONSTANT 40. Like, no change at all, it's very creepy. I'm not sure which one to go with. I know this card isn't strong at rendering particles and the FPS used to drop below 30 when in smoke, but not it's at a constant 40 while in smoke + firing zombies.

I'm kind of liking it...

Update 2: Yeah, I'm sticking with it for now...FPS is extremely stable w/o OC.

 

Good find! So it's worth it? I found L4D to run very well without any OC anyway....haven't been playing much of it yet.

btw...i might revert to A02 or A03 again Yesterday A09 did downclock sort of...just for like 10-20sec or so before going back and temps remainde very good (79c max) throughout but maybe the older BIOS will run FC2 more stable? I'll try these drivers first to see if it that fixes it.

Oh bugger...the drivers are only for XP?
