Is 1680 x 1050 in a 15.4" notebook an unusual size. The M6400 is more than I think I want to spend on a laptop right now, so I was looking at the M4400 as one of my options and I see the RGB LED screen comes in 1400 x ?? and WUXGA, which is just too many pixels in a 15.4" notebook to me. Does anyone thing Dell (or anyone else) is going to come out with a powerful 15.4" notebook anytime soon with a 1680 x 1050 LED display?

the RGBLED display is only available in 1920x1200. the lower res display is just a white LED display.

and no, 1680x1050 is becoming very rare, there are no dells with this display

Well that sux. I've always thought of 1680 as the 15.4" counterpart to 1920 at 17". Is RGB supposed to be better than white? Seems like I've read that RGB gives you more colors whereas white gives you better contrast and true white.

I agree, have had WSXGA on my previous 3 15.4" notebooks and have only had one WUXGA before that [which I didn't like]

WXGA+ is ok though, especially as the quality and even back lighting leaves any others I've had for dead.

Doesn't seem to be many people exactly raving over the RGB version from what I've been reading....considering how eagerly anticipated they were and how much extra they cost.
