So, I have this E6500 that I rally enjoy using, it's just a tad under powered for my needs. I really love the form factor and the size of the LCD. So my question then is did Dell produce an iSeries machine with the same size display, or was the E6500 the last of the big LCD era?

Nope, every 15 inch Latitude or Precision after E6500/M4400 is 16:9. The 17 inch M6500 remained 16:10, but after that, all Latitudes and Precisions (period) are 16:9.

Figures. It's a shame because out of all my Dell's the E6500 is my favorite.

Maybe i'll just sell the others and build the best E6500 I can get my hands on.

and I thought the E4320 was good enough until I got my hands on an E6430! Third gen i5 just runs a lot smoother and cooler and do what I need it to do better. Even the trackpad respond a lot better. Just have to live with the mediocre screen....
Best bang for the buck I'd say. I have no experience with any of then haswell tho.
