i just reformatted my comp, and dont have a admin password, so when i turn on the comp, it should take me directly to the desktop. but now i have to click on my account at the windows login screen.

i know i can probably find the solution to this by searching, but i didn't know what to search for

how do i make it so i can just go directly to my desktop w/o any login screen?

    What OS are you running?

I dunno where I'm getting this from, but I vaguely remember reading somewhere that since Windows 98 you have to go through the login screen, password or not.

Start >> Run >> control userpasswords2 >> Users must enter a user name and password to use this computer.

I disabled it because I have a BIOS password. It's rather redundant to enter it twice, and I figure that if somebody's willing to open the case and reset the BIOS to log on, a little Windows password isn't going to stop them. The good thing about that fix is that you can still require a password on resume from sleep, screensavers, etc.
