i just bought a vaio on the internet and it came bogged down with a ton of crap, its hard to do the simplest thing, and it didn't come with the reinstilation cd, so i was wondering if i could use one from my dell or another laptop, i know i am not really supposed to, but will it work? i don't want to reformat and then find out the cd won't work.

What model Vaio? Most come with a program that allows you create your own restore disks.
