    i cannot install the new service pack for win 7 every time i get error 80073712 and than ill troubleshoot that and ill get error 800B0100 and than i do that and it just starts all over again can someone help me out with this please

    Is the OS properly and legitimately licensed??

    Shutdown or wholly deinstall any and all non-msft anti-virus or malware programs you have running.

    If that doesn't work, there is a chance that the windows component store is corrupt. Have you been playing around with winsxs or manually trying to 'trim' down the OS load in any way?

    About the ONLY way to fix this is to get a from-msft copy of the System Update Readiness Tool (kb947821). Run that and let us know what is says.
