    free www.getfirefox.com

Includes a lot of nice features: tabbed browsing, pop-up blocker, built-in search engine fields ... just to name a few. AND adware and spyware that attack IE are ineffective against it!

And best of all it allows for user developed plug-ins. So there is always room for improvement. Practically there is a plug-in for anything you might think of :)

Opera is another one that just went the free route. As FireFox get more popular, it will start to attract more attention from spyware/malware.

There is a program called popkiller I use. It will kill a page based on the page name. That in conjuction with turning off popups in FireFox get most of them.

I refused to believe that firefox was better than IE for a long time. I've been converted to a firefox believer for well over a year now. It's free, and way superior to IE.

Netscape Navigator 8 is also a good choice. I moved over from firefox b/c it has built-in anti-spyware, plus all of the perks from firefox.

I have the Firefox web browser installed - huge improvement over IE6.

Recently, I switched to the Opera browser, and have been using that since. I really like it, it's fast and I don't get any popups. Try it, it's free!! :D

I found Opera to be quite slow.. Would show Gifs half speed, and load pics slow. The no banner thing is nice, but Opera doesnt allow you to move the toolbars where you want them which is a big no no in my book... If you dont allow us to use anything but your norm, i wont use the product. Even though its free...

Plus the speed tweaks for Firefox work for Netscape! Additionally, you have the option to display a page in the IE or FF format! ;)
