    hi there,

i have an xp system with ECS motherboard (VIA chipsets). my graphic card is an ati radeon x1050/256mb/agp.

it's been working fine for more than a year. now suddenly the monitor shut down and the system was still running. it said monitor could not operate at (xxxxxx) resolution. and sometimes it gave me blue screen of death, telling that ati2dvag file is causing the problem.

i tried to update drivers/using microsoft default drivers. it worked for a few min then the monitor shut off again.

i found out that the hard drive is faulty too. so, is it the hard drive's problem?

some said that the ATI x1050 does not like the VIA northbridge chipset.

now i have no idea what's the real problem. PLEASE HELP

    THANKS

I recommend a complete re-install, but you can try reinstall the chipset driver first and see.

    cheers ...
