    vm player and sd card reader

    its my first time to try out vmware player and vm's in general.
    i installed win 7 on vmware player and im trying to get my sd card reader to work so i can transfer files between host and guest.
    i think there is a way to transfer files between hos/guest thru public folders file sharing but i dont think i want to go this route for certain security reasons.
    ive searched the internet and i just cant seem to find info on how to do this and vmplayer doesnt seem to detect the sd card reader by itself.
    what do i do?

    Create shared folder or use shared Documents folder

    If the sd card reader runs off the usb, you could mount it from vm settings.

    You could also use copy & paste or drag and drop method.

    my sd card reader is built in, it appears in device manager but witha question mark.

    if also tried copy pasting to the desktop but it wont work. i read somewhere that they disabled this feature on vmplayer for security reasons a while back. ciiw.
