Just manually delete the related folders after removing the apps. Then run cCleaner to clean up registry and cache.

    cheers ...

I'll second Revo. One of the few "freeware with upgrade" type programs that I've actually seen the value in buying. It's an excellent piece of software, and usually picks up all sorts of things left behind. Deleting folders manually does work, but you'll still miss registry keys and files that aren't stored in the default directory. It's a sad but true fact that most programs nowadays are very sloppy when they install/uninstall themselves.

I saw that the 64-bit option is in the Pro version which costs money. Can the 32-bit version be used just as effectively on a 64-bit version of Win 7?

Other than being a true 64bit application I don't see any downside to the 32bit version being used on my Windows Pro 64bit install. I always use Revo to uninstall programs.

One comment to some of the posts above. With the free version of Revo if the program has already been uninstalled through the Windows uninstall process, running Revo will not help remove remnants of programs further. You must remove the programs initially with Revo for that benefit. I have never used the paid version of Revo Pro but it reportably finds remnants of programs which have already been removed through windows add/remove programs.

I use the control panel to uninstall programs, then I run CCleaner afterwards.

I've tried CCleaner and it deleted the activation code from Chaos software so I'm a bit hesistant to use it now since I don't want to keep inputting the activation code. Revo is my choice of uninstalling programs. I bought Revo Pro as an upgrade and it has a lot of features but unfortunately you can only install it on one computer or upgrade for multiple installations. For most users the freeware version is adequate.

Really? That's interesting. That's the first time I've heard of CCleaner removing an activation code. I take it that was during the registry scan?
