    ubuntu beryl on windows

    Is there a way to get different application on windows vista that will make it look like beryl? If yes, what are they.

    There are several programs for Windows that duplicate this function (none of them completely, or as smoothly as Linux though). They are all commercial, however. Simply use Google.

    isn't ubuntu something running on linux? I don't know very much linux, but I had thought I knew at least that. Anyway, I mean more like the "bouncing" windows, the little star after closing a window, the effect when you reduce or restore windows.

    Ubuntu is a distribution of Linux, yes. But there are more than 300 other distributions; its really a matter of personal preference.
