i was missing osx mail application so a few months ago i tried thunderbird. I set it up quickly and grabbed my mail. much to my dismay there was a ridiculous amount of spam. I understand everyone gets spam but this was way more then the norm.so i logged into my regular mail account to see what was going on but the spam was not listed there or in my spambox. At this point im a little confused as to where all this spam is coming from and why do I only see it with thunderbird?

Seems to be an email provider problem

I use Thunderbird and it marks junk mail that slips through my email providers (gmail, live and aol). All still have spam in their respective folders

I feel stupid now because I installed it a second time today and dont have the issue anymore. well the issue I had several months ago. The only thing different from my regular mail now is the titles of spam mail often has these binary graphics symbols in the middle of the titles.
