Hi, i need 3 programs and need soem help with them:

1st: i need a program to create a ftp server on my windows home server. in the past i used cesarftp but its kinda old and dead for a long time. so which software should i use? Filezilla-Server?

2nd: i need a lightweight pdfreader. Only want the basic functions. Foxit reader always crashed with firefox (and that for ages already.. no matter which version i use and which windows). Adobe PDF Reader should be too big and slow from what i read. Any recommendations?

3rd: I´m loosing alot of space on my SSD.. a week ago i had 49gb´s left and not its only 38.. without installing or downloading anything on my SSD. I belive its something with windows that uses alot of space on my laptop´s SSD. CCleaner isnt helping much. Disk Cleanup (windows standart tool) neither. Any idea what i could try to clean up ?

    Thanks

    1. filezilla is one of the best servers for a windows machine

2.chrome has a built reader now and is quite lightweight... Nitro pdf also works well, Sumatra PDF is another option

    3. you probably have windows restore points on the drive... if you lower the space available to windows restore you should free up some space (or disable it, but that could lead to issues if you actually need to use it)

    Hi,
I think, you can't go wrong with that.

I am using PDF X-Change from Tracker Software. It is not as lightweight as Sumatra PDF (which gave me some issues with certain documents), but not as bloated as Adobe Reader.
Then these are files that are not considered to be wiped. Perhaps system restore points or shadow copies.

Doesn't WHS have an FTP server built in? If it has IIS then the capability should be included in that.

For a PDF reader... Google Chrome has PDF reading capability built-in, and I use that.

True, but I use Filezilla FTP server on my WHS. It's a lot easier to set up.

As for disk cleaners ... hmm ... there is ccleaner....

Might check out the stickied thread of free software for some other choices.
