Has anyone found a self-contained sidebar gadget that will stream 'standard' web audio from multiple sources like Pandora and Shoutcast?

I've found plenty that are really remote-control apps for Winamp and WMP. Would really like to find something that doesn't depend on external players.

    thanks

    Orbmu2k's Top40 Shoutcast Gadget: http://blog.orbmu2k.de/sidebar-gadgets/shoutcast-gadget-radio-top40-edition
(The website is in German, so you'll need to translate.)

The gadget doesn't use WMP or WA as a backend.

After adding a custom station, you need to press play on the gadget to start receiving the stream. The gadget should indicate 'transmit' for a moment then play.

Volume is adjusted by placing the cursor over the gadget and scrolling up/down. You may need to click once to "focus" on the gadget.

Downside, the gadget only holds one custom station at a time. And I don't think it supports Pandora, but I could be wrong.

You might be able to crack open the .gadget file and edit the XML file for additional Custom slots. You could also email the author about a new version with more slots and/or Pandora support. He just posted an updated tool 10 days ago, so he's still cranking out software.

FWIW all of my non-stock Vista & 7 gadgets have been from him. His GPU Observer gadget is great as it doesn't require HWmonitor, MBM or any third party backend and works with both nvidia and AMD chipsets.

    Poifect!

I use his power status gadget but totally spaced out on checking for a streaming player.

Started playing around with this one today:

    http://www.ronnierodermond.nl/gadgets.php

Has an easily edited .txt file where you can add or delete sources.

    (located in %userprofile%\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows Sidebar\Gadgets\MiniRadio_EN.gadget\extra.txt)

    thanks
