sometimes the windows security center doesn't recognize kaspersky and gives me the red shield on the taskbar. i tried to delete everything in the wbem/repository folder and it worked for a while but now it has come back. should i try to fix this or should i just tell the security center that i will monitor it myself

I don't know about Kaspersky because I don't use it, but I had a similar issue once when I had trouble with NIS subscription.. but then I uninstalled / reinstalled, activate the subscription and everything has been fine ever since.. also did you check if there is any option to "integrate into the security center" or similar, while installing or from the options / settings tabs????

I was having the same problem with NOD32. And since I am behind a router (hardware firewall), I just disabled the windows security center, because it doesn't do anything good, except nag you the whole time.

it did work well for a while but if just popped up today when i started windows. so i don't think that the "integrate into the security center" is needed
