Well, it is not part of a default Windows installation.

Assuming Vista (a little more information is always helpful)

Start > in the search box type
    msconfig
    <enter>

    Go to Services
Check box that says HIDE ALL MICROSOFT SERVICES

There will be a half dozen or so things here. Uncheck them all (for now)

Go to the START UP tab
    Uncheck them all (for now)

    Click OK

    Reboot. Does error repeat?

If NO, then repeat the above steps, but this time CHECK one box

    Reboot.

Does error re-appear? If so, what did you check?

If not, repeat above and check a second one.

Keep going until the error reappears and report back.

btw, I am betting on a) file sharing application, or b) instant messaging with file sharing component

Possible, a program like above you recently removed

wow...and it seems you r the first one in the world to have this issue :) a google search on the .dll file u mentioned above returned this forum!

Anyhow, another thing u can try other than what gerryf mentioned above is doing a search on ur local HDD for that .dll file. See what folder it's in..that would give u a better idea of what the source of the problem is.
